My 2.5 year old likes it, my wife loves it. Feel like kicking off your morning with something really quick and delicious while earning a few brownie points? Eat this.

1 banana, chopped

1 handful walnuts (or whatever else you have handy)

1 handful raisins

1/2 cup of quick oats (gluten free if you insist)

1 cup of milk (dairy, almond, get it)

maple syrup


Cook oats and milk on low to medium until milk is largely absorbed (still a little runny). Turn burner down to simmer, toss in the banana and continue to cook until banana and milk are fully absorbed (all told 5-10 minutes). Stir in maple syrup, walnut, cinnamon & raisins to taste. Toss in some nut butter if you've got a big day ahead!
